Its single tube, bi-ocular design features Mil Spec optics and housing, user friendly controls, built-in IR illuminator, and internal low battery and IR indicators.Optional accessories make the AN/PVS-7 extremely versatile. For increased detection range a 3x or 5x Mil Spec Afocal lens can be added and a range of external IR Illuminators and an IR Flood/Spot Lens are availible to illuminate distant objects. A magnetic compass can be attached to the device to superimpose compass headings on the night vision image to enhance the AN/PVS-7’s already powerful, long-range night observation capabilities.
